Artifact created a rotoscoped animation for a pharmaceutical/medical education DVD produced by Brand X Communications. The animated segment was designed to expressively illustrate the physiological effects of a hot flash on a menopausal woman. Rotoscoped animation was created based on live action footage, using a variety of 2D techniques, and layered with 3D effects such as a heart and circulatory system. Artifact’s lead animators for the project included Mike Enright and Monique Ligons.

Sculptor and installation artist Steve Donegan enlisted Artifact to generate a 3D visualization of his proposed public art project at the new wing of the Philadelphia International Airport. The sculpture would consist of large scale perforated copper panels installed in a rotunda. Artifact modeled both the space and the proposed installation, based on the artist’s specifications and the airport architect’s elevation drawings.
